Nonsurgical Management of a Patient with Hypopituitarism Secondary to Nonfunctioning Pituitary Macroadenoma: A Case Report

Pituitary adenoma is a benign neoplasm of pituitary gland. adenoma, particularly macroadenoma,may produce mass effect symptoms by compressing surrounding tissues. Due to function as aneuroendocrine organ, may also cause multiple endocrine disturbances. The authors reportthe case 39-year-old male patient presenting with chronic headache and history seizure. MRI imagingrevealed macroadenoma optic chiasm compression. Further diagnostic workup indicatedsecondary hypogonadism adrenal insufficiency. was given hormone replacement therapyand then advised for surgery, but the refused any surgical procedure. Subsequent follow-upswere somewhat difficult due poor adherence. Nevertheless, appropriate management pituitaryadenoma needed achieve optimal result.
